Appeal to help Japan
To date, the death toll in Japan, due to last week’s devastating earthquake and tsunami, has escalated to 8,000, and it will be more by the time you will read this communique. This morning the top news item is a raised radiation contamination level from 4 to 5 (on a scale of 7) at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant. However, there are glimmers of hope for survivors.
Our General Superintendent has issued a call “for our constituency to send a generous gift for this relief need. Japan by the way is the nation with very few number of Christians. Lets give for a breakthrough in evangelism there.”
