CHURCH PLANTING REPORT FROM IBC PRESIDENT

Dear Friends,

Greetings from Immanuel Bible College! The Lord has been doing great things at IBC. Below is a  praise point that I would like to share with you:

 Church Planting Effort – The IBC students are moving into the forefront of church planting and missions. In last year alone, the IBC students planted 3 churches through SOS in Bohol together with the students of PICM (our sister Bible School in Bohol). Another church was planted by the students in Oppra, Cebu City during their semestral break (October 2009). At the moment, the IBC students are doing church planting work in our own Jerusalem (yes, here in Banawa itself). The students, mostly Freshmen, are now saturating the area around IBC and the surrounding areas with the gospel. I’m so blessed to see them mightily proclaiming the Word in the Bible Studies they opened in spite of oppositions. It’s my joy to inform you that in matters of 5 days and a half, we have the following results:
* Contacts – 462
* Good Contacts – 240
* Bible Studies Opened – 129
* On-going Bible Studies – 110

We have stopped making contacts so that our students could concentrate on the on-going Bible Studies. Please pray with us for the following:
a. Strength, wisdom, and anointing for Ptr. Rodel Umapas (SOS Field Director), and Pstrs. Fred & Iryn Capapas (Pioneer Pastors). Yes, we will pioneer a church
here in IBC. This church will be part of the College. Please pray for us because this will be additional load to our administrative and teaching loads.
b. Strength, anointing, joy, and grace to our volunteers (IBC students and 3 volunteers from Pit-os AG Church under Ptr. Rey Margallo). They have been walking under the heat of the very hot sun of Cebu everyday. They will spend their 4 weeks of summer vacation in church planting. They really need your prayers.
c. Protection and spiritual growth for the new believers.
d. Openness of heart for the contacts
