NWVDC in Step with `Power to the Church Campaign’

NWVDC Executives with the Calusays

In step with the PGCAG   `Power to the Church Campaign’ , the executive leaders of NWVDC   facilitated a seminar workshop on Discipleship Framework ,  held at FARM, Inc. Roxas City last October 29-30.  Attending pastors   complied well to the directive that they come with their team of  leaders. One hundred forty seven were in attendance from Capiz, Aklan and Romblon.  It was noteworthy that participants came on time and participated with gusto in the workshops.  With Rev. Rey Calusay and his wife Zeny as lecturers, the seminar workshop   gave the participants practical understanding of how to design a discipling program customized to their local church setting.  Workshops between the teaching times enabled the participating teams to draw up initial steps to do once they go back to their churches.

Workshop:Pastors with theirTeams

Here’s is a portion of the feedback email  sent to Rev. Rey and Zeny Calusay by  the NWVDC District Superintendent, Rev. Jessie Villagracia: `Attending the Discipleship Framework Seminar conducted at FARM, intensely listening to the wisdom and experiences of our two passionate speakers (Rev. Rey  and  Zenaida Calusay) and getting as much as our minds and hearts can contain, were remarkably a blessing not only to me personally but also to the majority of the pastors in our district who have attended the aforementioned training.  It was  an eye opener to most of us, while to many others; it serves as a breakthrough from loads of frustrations and from “aimless wandering” in the ministry, not knowing what to pursue next. Indeed, the seminar gave a fresher vision, a clearer perspective, and a renewed excitement to a lot of pastors and church leaders. In fact, I am extremely excited what the Lord will accomplish when this discipleship framework is implemented in our churches. Thus, I am extending my deepest appreciation to the authors of this seminar. Thank you, Pastor . Rey and Sis. Naidz for your ‘never-ending’ commitment to empower our pastors by upgrading us time and again through your teachings and seminars. May God bless you more!’
